Hello, dear Donkey Kong fan!
Although the monthly cursors, originally begun by PegasusMan quite some time ago, were removed due to new guidelines from FANDOM, there is still a way to add custom cursors. In this blog, I'll be covering all the steps it takes. This only takes a few minutes, and is fairly simple if you follow the steps!
Tutorial[]
- First, you must create a new page on this Wiki. You can add a new page by clicking the button with three black dots at the top right corner of this page, and clicking "Add new page". You will have to name the page like this: "User:[your username]/common.css". For example, my page is "User:Scarlet Pairo/common.css".
- Next, just copy all of the text from my page, User:Scarlet Pairo/common.css, onto yours. Start copying from the line /*** Custom cursor ***/. I can only recommend editing in source code! Do not save the page yet.
- Next, I need to explain you how to analyze the text to suit your cursor. If you were to save the page as it is, you'd have the cursor of a Zinger that I use. If you're fine with the cursor, you can stop there, save the page and you're done! But if you're interested in another cursor, then you must take on the next few steps and do not save the page yet.
(For reference, this is what my Zinger cursor looks like)
- Okay, so you're interested in another cursor! First, let me explain the text on your page:
- If you want to change your cursor, you'll have to change the two URLs on the page to those of your new cursor, and (if you want to) an additional variant of your cursor for when it hovers over a link, for example. Change URL #1 to the URL of the image you'd like (examples further down this blog post). It's important that you click on your desired image to find out the link for it, and not just copy the link of a page featuring that picture somewhere. Now, do the same for the second cursor variant, if you want.
What cursor should I use?[]

Last steps[]
If you are interested in more, check this blog post by PegasusMan! From there, you can view the page in source code and find the file names for the images. Then, search for the files with our search bar, by typing "File:[filename]", and you will find the image's page. From there, simply click on the image once more to reach the link you must copy to your page. You aren't required to use PegasusMan's cursors though... any image you want can become you cursor, you only need the link for your desired images.
--> Save the page, it's finished! Should you have any trouble, you can always contact me on my Message Wall or comment on this blog post.
That's all from me this time. Have fun with your new cursor!
