Hello dear Donkey Kong fans! Scarlet Pairo here.
You and I know very well - our wiki isn't a flawless example of a Wiki. Our community isn't quite large, and not many are active at all. But, the few people we do have here are creative and talented individuals who I call out to help us rebuild the wiki, and what better way to get going than to revamp the Main Page. Our Main Page - in my opinion - is lacking in content and news. The latest news on our Main Page are from two years ago... and that's why I'm asking you, the community, to help us out. We are in desperate need of creative fans, and for that reason, I am officially opening the Main Page for anyone again!
Contribute to the Main Page if you feel like you've got an inspiring idea for it. A new introduction text to our wiki, new templates, games, whatever - we're in for it!* Do not fear to change things if you like - but please tell us if you're about to to some greater things to the Main Page.
What the Main Page should look like:[]
- Correct grammar and spelling
- Clean design (no sloppy text everywhere and random images cutting off half the page)
- Interesting to new users - very important if we want our community to further grow!
- Filled with content!
What the Main Page should not look like:[]
- Uninteresting
- A plain long text which you have to scroll through for a minute
- emotionless rambling about 'this is a wiki, welcome, this is DK, this is the bad guy, bla bla'
Good, now that we established the rules, go ahead and spread your creativity on our Main Page!
One last thing, though: On the 12th September, I will lock the Main Page again, so better start editing soon! I am very cautious about this whole thing in general, so I won't keep this up for very long, especially because of the troll flood which will be brought upon our wiki. Lastly, Do not vandalize or you will receive a long block.
