This is a guide on how you can 101% Donkey Kong Country. This guide will cover each level and gameplay stuff. The reason I’m making this is because I’m bored.
Gameplay[]
There are two playable characters who are Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong. Diddy Kong is more agile than Donkey Kong but he can’t kill certain enemies (like Krusha).
Animal Buddies[]
There are other characters that the two kongs can ride. These include Rhambi the Rhinoceros, Enguarde the Swordfish, Winky the Frog, Expresso the Ostrich, and Squawks the Parrot. Each character plays differently than the other
Rhambi the Rhinoceros[]
Rhambi is a rhino that is found in a box with a silhouette of a rhino head on it. Rhambi can ram enemies and reveal bonus rooms
Enguarde the Swordfish[]
Enguarde can only be found in underwater levels where he is in a box with the silhouette of a swordfish head on it. Enguarde can poke enemies and defeat them. It also allows faster travel through the water.
Winky the Frog[]
Winky is found in a box with the silhouette of a frog head on it. Winky and jump high and can even jump on Zingers to defeat them.
Expresso the Ostrich[]
Expresso is found in a box with the silhouette of an ostrich on it. Expresso can run fast and hover through the air. Expresso can’t defeat enemies and when he comes in contact with one, he’ll eject whatever Kong is riding on him and runaway (like each Animal Buddy besides Squawks when they take damage)
Squawks the Parrot[]
Like each Animal Buddy, Squawks appears in a crate. Unlike each animal buddy, the player doesn’t ride Squawks, instead Squawks follows the player around and holds a flashlight for the player to be able to see

This part will be split up by world and each world will be split up by stages.
Kongo Jungle[]
This is the first world of DKC
Jungle Hijinxs[]
The level begins with the player being shot out of DK’s house. If you enter Donkey Kong’s Banana Hoard, then they will be no bananas and the player kong will be sad. Jump up the platforms that are sticking out of the side of the house and enter the house. Inside there will be a life balloon floating above a half-buried tire. Bounce on the tire to snag a life. Exit the house and jump onto the treetops. Continue forward (right) and there be an arrow of bananas pointing downwards. Jump off of the treetops and land where the arrow is pointing to break open a hole in the floor to reveal an oil drum. You can throw that and break open the DK Barrel. Keep going forward and there will be a platform with a Kritter on it. Above the platform is a K. Collect the K and then jump onto the treetops to snag another life. Jump to the next trees to get another life. (With Diddy Kong) Cartwheel and then jump to land on another tree to get another two lives. Jump back down and grab the O. Then, grab the DK barrel and run forward and then jump onto the platform (above this platform there is a Necky throwing nuts down). You can use the barrel to protect from the nuts and grab the Expresso statue, collect three of the same statue to enter a special bonus room. Continue forward to find Rhambi. Break open his crate to ride him. Run forward and get the N and keep charging forward. Eventually you will break open a wall to a bonus room. For this bonus room, just run forward and collect all of the bananas and then jump to grab a life. After exiting the room, you should be placed onto some trees, above the trees is the G. Grab the G and you’ve successfully spelled out KONG, after this is done, you get a life. Go backwards onto the platform jutting out of the cliff side. Run off of the platform and charge into the wall to the right to enter another bonus room. This bonus room has three barrels, the barrels will be shuffling between different golden statues of Expresso, Winky, Enguarde, and Rhambi. Try to get three of the same statue in each barrel (by jumping into them) and you will get that statue. Aim for the Expresso statues so then you collect two of them. After exiting the bonus room, the player will be dropped from the sky, and they will break open a hole to reveal a barrel. Keep going forward and kill the Klump. After going forward a bit more, you’ll reach the end, having successfully beaten Jungle Hijinxs.
Ropy Rampage[]
The level begins with the player walking through an entrance in a cliff side. Run forward and try not to get hit by the Army. Grab the TNT barrel and jump onto the highest platform where there is a Kritter. Use the barrel to kill the Kritter and grab the K. Jump onto the rope and climb up it where you’ll now be on the treetops. Run forward and keep going, defeat the the three Kritters and jump onto the swinging rope. Use it to jump onto the tree to the left with the Rhambi statue on it. Get back on the rope and continue forward. Jump onto the next swinging rope and jump on the treetops. Grab the O and then jump down the gap between the tree with the one Kritter on it and the treetops you were just on. You will land in an automatic barrel where it will fire into a the entrance of a bonus room. In this bonus room, jump on the ropes and collect the bananas and then at the end, grab the N. You will then be fired out of the exit. If you hold down the sprint button and once you hit the enemy outside of the enemy, press the jump button to skip a whole segment and land on the ground where you will break open a hole in the ground to reveal a tire. Push the tire below the tree to the left of the platform with the Army on it. Bounce on the tire and land on top of the tree. Jump off of the tree onto the slightly miscolored part of the floor to break open a hole and get a Winky Statue. Jump onto the swinging rope and jump to the next one while avoiding the Zinger. Do this a couple of times and land on the platform with the Kritter on it. Jump into the gap to the right of it to land in an automatic barrel that will fire you into the sky to enter a bonus room. In this bonus room, there are 4 barrels. A red life balloon will be switching between the barrels and gradually picking up speed. Eventually it will disappear and the player must choose which barrel it last landed on. Get it right and get a life. Get it wrong and don’t get a life. After exiting the bonus room, you will land on the platform with the Kritter on it. Go forward and don’t get damaged by the Army. You will reach the goal. In front of the goal there is a tree with the G on it. Grab it to spell KONG and get a life.
Reptile Rumble[]
The level will start with the Kongs entering a cave. Grab the barrel in front of the entrance and avoid the Slippa and two Kritters. Once you reach the K, grab it and then throw the barrel at the wall below the K to enter a bonus room. In this bonus room, collect the bananas and the life and then you can exit. After exiting, hold down the run button and you will hit a Kritter and get sent into a ledge. Bounce on the tire and go up the left. Continue forward and then jump in the tire for the taller ledge. Run to the left and jump into the automatic barrel to enter a bonus room. In this one, just jump into the automatic barrel in front of the entrance to go through a series of them while you collect bananas. Eventually you will be out at the exit and then exit. You’ll be out back onto the ledge. Go forward and avoid the three Kritters. Bounce on the tire and continue forward. Avoid the Zinger and grab the O. Avoid the other Zinger and keep going. Avoid the Slippas and jump down into the pit of tires. Bounce on one and makes sure not to fall into the Zinger, above the Zinger is the N. If you successfully bounce over the Zinger then you’ll collect it. Bounce on the tires in the other out to get onto a ledge. Go forward and bounce onto another tall ledge. Grab the normal barrel and jump into the pit with the two Slippas. If you land on the one furthest to the right then you will drop the barrel and it will give you access to a bonus room. In this bonus room, there is a floating platform with a tire on it and a bunch of bananas above them. Jump on the tire and the platform will start moving to the right. Bounce on the tire and collect the bananas and then exit. You will be launched out and then you will land on a ledge. Bounce on the tire and avoid the Zinger and get on the next ledge. Crawl through and enter the room with the blue Kritters. Jump on one when it’s at the peak of it’s jump and grab the Enguarde statue. Crawl out and continue through the Slippas and avoid the Kritters that are jumping down the tires. Bounce on the one below the G to successfully spell KONG and get a life. A little bit more forward and you’ll find the exit.
Coral Capers[]
The level begins with the Kongs in front of a small gap. Swim right and avoid the two Bitesize. Keep swimming right to the wall and swim up. Keep swimming up until you collect the K and then swim right. Make sure not to get hit by the Croctopus and and swim down and right to the single banana. You will fall through the ground and enter a room with tons of bananas with a banana bunch in the center. Now swim back up and out and then continue right. In the next room, you will found bananas in the shape of an arrow that is pointing down. Swim around the square and through one of the gaps. Below the square is Enguarde’s crate. Break it open so you can ride him. Swim up and avoid the Croctopus. Swjm right and up to grab a life and swim in the direction the Croctopus is moving. Now swim left and kill the Bitesize. Continue left into the room with the Chomps Jr. in it. Swim up where the O is. Swim down where the down arrow of bananas is. Avoid the Croctopus and there is another Enguarde crate. You can break it open and there will be two Enguardes (the one you’re riding and the one from the crate). Swim left and kill the Chomps Jr. and then swim up through the gap. Kill the Chomps and go left of where it was. You will go through the wall and enter a secret room where you can get an Expresso statue. You can exit out of the left wall if you continue upwards in the room. Once you exit, swim up and keep going until you get the N. Now swim right and keep going right. Grab the G and spell KONG and then exit the level.
Barrel Cannon Canyon[]
The level will begin with the Kongs standing in front of the mouth of a cave. Run forward and kill the two Kritters and get in the barrel. You will be fired upwards where the K is. Move right to land on the slightly miscolored part of the floor. It will break open a hole with a barrel, you don’t need it so you can just throw it. Run forward and cartwheel off the ledge and jump to land on a platform with a Winky statue above it. Jump in the automatic barrel to get fired upwards and collect it. Jump in the regular barrel and get fired diagonally and right and you will hit a Kritter which will bounce you into an automatic barrel that will fire you to the right. You will land in another barrel and get fired right At again in another barrel. That barrel will fire you to the right and you will land on a tree with a DK barrel on it. Go forward and there will be a pit with three Kritters in it. Wait until the one furthest to the left to jump and jump on its head and land on a tree. Run forward and jump the on the tree with a Rhambi statue on it. Jump into the automatic barrel and it will fire you to the right. The O will be in your path therefore it will be collected. You will land in another barrel that will fire you into a Kritter. Once you land on the ground turn around and run to the left. Jump over the barrel you landed in to land in an automatic barrel that will fire you into a regular barrel. Wait until the automatic barrel in front of the barrel you’re in moves up and then fire to break through the wall and into a bonus room. In this bonus room, there is a barrel to jump in. Spam the fire button to quickly get through the bonus room. After exiting you will be put in front of a Kritter with a DK barrel behind it. Grab the DK barrel and run forward and avoid the next Kritter. Run down into the pit behind it and run into the wall to the right. You will break open the wall and enter a bonus room. In this bonus room, you’ll be in a barrel that it is moving left and right. Wait until it moves to the far left and Fire to grab an Enguarde statue. You will be put in front of a TNT barrel. You don’t need the barrel so you can use it to kill the Kritter in front of you. Run forward and eventually you will find a raised platform with two Kritters to the left and right of it. Jump onto the platform and into the barrel and fire when the automatic barrel moves above it. The automatic barrel will fire you right and into a barrel that will fire you down and it you will hit the ground and break open a hole with the N in it. Grab the N and enter the next barrel. Avoid the Zingers and get through this segment. After that segment, jump on one of the Kritters at the peak of its jump to land on a tree. Cartwheel and jump to land on another tree where the G is. Grab it to spell KONG. Now jump off of the tree and exit the level.
Boss 1: Very Gnawty[]
This is the first boss of DKC. Very Gnawty is a bigger version of a regular Gnawty. The boss will begin with it hopping towards you from the center of the room. Jump on his head to damage him. Very Gnawty only needs to be jumped on 5 times to defeat him. After defeat, Very Gnawty will fall over and a giant banana will fall from the sky. The player Kong will celebrate and now you have successfully completed Kongo Jungle.
Monkey Mines[]
This is the second world of DKC
Winky’s Walkway[]
The level will begin with the Kongs standing on a wooden platform. Run forward and kill the Kritter. Jump on the Necky and collect the K. Continue forward and you will come across two Neckies flying up and down. Jump on one and break open the Winky crate to ride him. Continue forward and grab the O. Keep going forward and jump onto the platform with the Necky flying left and right. Jump on the Necky and get into the automatic barrel to get to a bonus room. In this bonus room, there are a bunch of bananas with the N. Collect the bananas and the N and exit the bonus room. You will end up behind a drum that is spawning Gnawties. Continue forward and eventually you’ll find a Zinger flying around an Expresso statue. Jump on the Zinger and grab the statue and continue on. To the right of this platform is the G, grab it to spell out KONG. Keep going and you’ll end up at the exit of the level.
Mine Cart Carnage[]
The level will begin with the Kongs standing in front of an automatic barrel. Get in the barrel and it will fire you into a mine cart. In this level, the mine cart moves by itself and the only thing you’d an control is jumping. Eventually after a bit of riding, there is the K over a gap. Jump and grab the K. Jump over each gap you come across to not die and soon enough, you’ll find the O. Jump up and grab it. After a hill, there is a banana bunch floating right at the end of the track (where it dips straight down). Wait until the moment you collect the bananas and then jump. After a bit more riding, the Enguarde statue will be on a steep slope. Tap the jump button to not jump too high to grab it. Soon, you’ll find derailed mine carts. Jump over them or else you’ll take damage. You’ll find the N just after a derailed cart. Tap the jump button to not jump too high or grab it. After this, the first Krash will speed towards you. You must jump over it and you can’t land on top of it. Once you get to the gap, tap the jump button to get a life. After a few more Krashes, you’ll find the G which is just to the left of a derailed cart. Once you grab it, jump. You’ve also successfully spelled out KONG. That is the final collectible of the level, avoid some more Krashes and jump over gaps and exit the level.
Level Skip[]
In Mine Cart Carnage, there is actually a level skip. Once the level begins, jump over the automatic barrel and once you fall past it, move to the left to land in another automatic barrel that will fire you into another barrel that will fire you upwards. The screen will fade to black and then fade back in where you will land in a mine cart. This cart is right in front of the exit.
Bouncy Bonanza[]
The level will begin with the Kongs standing in front of the entrance to the cave. Kill the Kritter and run forward where you’ll find a platform with a tire on it. Roll the tire off of the platform and then roll it to the left. Roll it back to the very beginning of the level and bounce on it to grab a Rhambi statue. Now go back forward and progress in the level. The K will be on a platform in between two Kritters. Kill one of the Kritters and grab the K and continue forward. Avoid the Zinger and grab the barrel that is to the right of it. Bounce onto the tires and wait for the Zinger farthest to the left to move up. Once it does, run to the right and land in the pit below them. Run into the far right wall and break open the wall, go through to enter a bonus room. This bonus room has three barrels with a different item flashing on them. Jump up to lock in an item, get three of the same items to get that item (from now on, we’ll call this Roulette). You’ll be fired out of a wall. Hold down the run button and you will collide with a Kritter and get sent flying. To avoid hitting the Zinger, hold down left on the d-pad where you’ll miss the Zinger. Roll the tire forward until you reach a floating platform that is moving up and down. Roll the tire on it and wait for it to get to the highest it can move up. Bounce on the tire and run forward. Avoid the Zinger and grab the N. Run off the ledge and land on the ledge below it. Run to the wall to the far right and you will enter a bonus room. Break open the Winky crate in the middle of the room to ride him. Continue forward until you reach the three Kritters jumping back and forth in sync. Grab the G in one of the pits and continue forward (you’ve also spelled out KONG). Run forward until you reach the platform moving back and forth. Get on it and jump to land in an automatic barrel. This bonus room has a spinning barrel that you will start it. Wait for it to either be facing upwards or upwards diagonally and fire. Land on one of the floating tires and grab the bananas and then exit the bonus room (we’ll call this a Barrel room). You will land in front of the level exit.
