Uncle Kong, or UK per his tie, is an original character and member of the Kong Family who appears only in the Japanese strategy guide "Super Donkey Kong 2: Dixie & Diddy: Kouryaku Guidebook Kanzenhan" (スーパードンキーコング2 ディクシー&ディディー 攻略ガイドブック完全版)[1] for the game Super Donkey Kong 2: Dixie & Diddy for Super Family Computer. In the strategy guide, he gives hints about the game to the player. However, the character does not appear, and he is never mentioned in Donkey Kong Country 2 or any Donkey Kong series games.
Trivia[]
- The character's nickname "UK" is a possible reference to the United Kingdom[2]. Though it could also just stand for "Uncle Kong"
- Rare, the developer of the original Donkey Kong Country trilogy, is a British company. However, it is unknown if they were involved in the Uncle Kong's creation.
- Uncle Kong sports a moustache similar to Bluster Kong, a Kong character from the Donkey Kong Country animated series.
