Tricky the Triceratops is the boss of Dino Domain in Diddy Kong Racing and Diddy Kong Racing DS. He challenges the player to a one-way race up a spiral mountain. The course has no railings, which makes it easy to fall off, as well as a variety of obstacles. There is also a shortcut providing a Boost Balloon in the original version of the game. Once the player has beaten Tricky he will unlock the silver coin challenge version of all Dino Domain race tracks. After beating all these silver coin challenges players are able to challenge Tricky to a harder rematch to officially complete Dino Domain.
He was originally intended to appear in Dinosaur Planet another Rare game, but the game was reworked into an entry in the Star Fox series called Star Fox Adventures which Tricky does appear in as a kid. He would later appear older in Star Fox Assault.
