Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a go kart racing game and the latest one in the Mario Kart series. It came out on April 27, 2017 for the Nintendo Switch. The game is an upgraded port of Mario Kart 8 for Nintendo Wii U, featuring DLC from the original game as regular content.

The game possesses various kart parts, wheels, and gliders for vehicle customization. Unlike the original game, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has extra cups and DLC courses (Egg Cup and Triforce Cup, which are related to The Legend of Zelda series, and Crossing Cup and Bell Cup, which are related to Animal Crossing series). There are also some returning characters, like King Boo, Dry Bones, Bowser Jr. and Gold Mario and newcomers, the Inklings from Splatoon.
