Kobble is one of the Kremling soldier grunts of the Kremling Krew, during the events of Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! and Donkey Kong Land III. It is a green Kremling whose lower lip is pierced.
As one could tell from their posture, they identically act like Kritter and Klomp from Donkey Kong Country and Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest respectively.
Appearances in video games
Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!
Kobble first appears in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble.
Kobble acts just as Kritter and Klomp does, since it can be easily defeated by Dixie spinning into it or Kiddy rolling into it. Its main method of attack is by simply walking forward. Even so, Kobble is an uncommon enemy; it only appears in Lakeside Limbo, Kreeping Klasps and a Tidal Trouble. However, there is a purple color swap called Skidda that appears in snow-themed levels.
In Dixie's Photo Album Kobble is depicted inside of a mill-themed level, even if it does not normally appear in mill-themed levels.
In the Game Boy Advance re-release, Kobble no longer appears within Tidal Trouble. Kobble has a higher pitched noise in this version do, along with most enemies.
Donkey Kong Land III
Kobble remains practically unchanged in Donkey Kong Land III. It does appear more often in the game, appearing in the following levels:
- Red Wharf
- Ford Knocks
- Total Rekoil
- Liftshaft Lottery
- Jetty Jitters
- Riverbank Riot
- Rocketeer Rally
- Vertigo Verge
- Jungle Jeopardy
- Footloose Falls
- Karbine Kaos
- Rockface Chase
- Clifftop Critters
- Bazuka Bombard
- Ugly Ducting
- Kuchuka Karnage
- Barrel Boulevard
- Ghoulish Grotto
