Haunted Hall is the twenty eighth stage in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest and the second stage in Gloomy Gulch. It comes after Ghostly Grove and before Gusty Glade.

Haunted Hall is a roller coaster stage with a background that looks like an old library. It is the home of Kackle, the ghost of the hall. When the Kongs go through the first gate, Kackle is waiting promptly for them, and a timer will appear on the top of the screen. After that, it will count down. To keep time from running out, use the Plus Barrels to add 5 seconds to their total time, but if they hit the Minus Barrels, 5 seconds will be taken from your total time. If the Kongs run out of time, Kackle will take the life of one of the Kongs. To make it to the end, ride the Skull Cart while avoiding hitting the gates themselves, what's behind them, and what's below them.

  • This is one of the two stages that doesn't reappear in Donkey Kong Land 2, besides Castle Crush. Instead, it was replaced with Krazy Koaster. This is because the Game Boy was unable to support the Kackle's sprites.
  • Haunted Hall's BGM sounds similar to, and is perhaps based on Modest Mussorgsky's "Night on Bald Mountain".
  • The stage has the distinction of featuring both an exclusive enemy (Kackle) and BGM.
    • This stage is also given a distinct area on the world map, in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest, it resembles some sort of private house with a large sunroof, in the Gameboy Advance port, the appearance is a dilapidated mansion.
