The original Game Boy.
The Game Boy, also abbreviated "GB", was a 8-bit handheld game system released by Nintendo in Japan on April 21, 1989, during the fourth generation. It was a successor for the Game & Watch[1] and was small enough to carry around. The Donkey Kong Land trilogy was released on this system. These games used sounds and graphical resources of the Donkey Kong Country trilogy, though with limited quality. The Game Boy was followed by the Game Boy Color.
