Game(s) Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!

Fish Food Frenzy is the fifth stage in Cotton Top Cove in the game Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!. It is preceded by Tracker Barrel Trek and followed by Squirt's Showdown.

In this underwater stage, a Nibbla will follow the Kongs from the beginning to the end of the stage. At first sight, the Nibbla is light blue; while the Nibbla is this color, it will not attack Dixie and Kiddy Kong. If the Nibbla is fed a Lurchin, however, it will either turn blue or red. If the Nibbla is blue, it is a warning to the Kongs that it could attack them. If the Nibbla is red, it is a sign that the Nibbla will attack them shortly.

The Nibbla can also change color via not feeding it Kocos. The only way to make the Nibbla harmless again is to feed it a Koco.

K-O-N-G Letters[]

  • Letter K: Located at the roof of an early room, right above a Lurchin.
  • Letter O: Found at the very left of a hallway after the first Bonus Area.
  • Letter N: Found at the right opening in the next hallway, also guarded by a Lurchin.
  • Letter G: Found in another opening to the right after going down a shaft.

Bonus Levels[]

  • The first Bonus Barrel is found to the right of an opening, which is blocked by a Lurchin. The Bonus Level is called "Grab 15 Bananas!" Nibbla isn't featured in this Bonus Level, nor are any Kocos or Lurchins.
  • Towards the end of the level, the third long opening, with a Lurchin, contains a Bonus Barrel. The Bonus Level is called "Bash the Baddies!", in which Nibbla is required to eat every Koco in the area so the Kongs can complete it.
