Donkey Kong Racing was a game Rare announced that they were developing for the Nintendo GameCube, and it was supposed to be a sequel to Diddy Kong Racing. Unfortunately, the game title was lost in time after Rare went to be Microsoft's first-party company, and Rare stopped developing any more games for Nintendo's main consoles and no longer had the rights to the Donkey Kong games.

For that matter, it was finally declared that the game become vaporware, as its development was absolutely non-existent.

The game revolved around the player having to train his/her animal buddy/formal enemy to win prizes first, eat fruit to gain strength and then he/she will be able to race against his/her opponents with its mounter.[1]
