Blue is one of the Brothers Bear in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!. Blue is a bear with blue fur whose birthday was forgotten by the rest of the Brothers Bear, thus making Blue feel lonely. His name is a take on his color and how he feels "blue". He lives in Blue's Beach Hut in Cotton-Top Cove.

Blue lives in a beach house in Cotton-Top Cove. When Dixie and Kiddy Kong get to him, he states that he is upset that everyone forgot about his birthday and no one came. However, this is untrue as Blizzard actually remembered and got him a present, though could not make it due to how far away he was at the time. The Kongs can deliver Blizzard's present once they speak with Blue after obtaining the present from Blizzard.

The present is revealed to be a Bowling Ball. After this, his theme will change from Brothers Bear Blues to the normal Brothers Bear theme from then on, meaning he's happy again. Blue finds no need for the gift so he lends it to Dixie and Kiddy. The Bowling Ball is later used as ammo for Bazooka's cannon.

Trivia

• Blue's birthday is January 16.
• He is the first one of the characters in the series to have tragic moments. The others include the Banana Fairy Queen and the Mermaid whom later appeared in Donkey Kong 64.
• The music playing in his beach hut is a slowed-down version of the regular Brothers Bear theme.
  • When bringing him the gift from Blizzard, the theme temporarily speeds up to a higher speed than the regular Brothers Bear theme. Afterwards, the theme will be the regular Brothers Bear music.
