Bear is a lone Brothers Bear representative appearing exclusively in the game Donkey Kong Land III.

As with his other brothers, he lives in a cabin. In this game, he runs the Sheepy Shop in each world. This memory-based minigame costs Bonus Coins to play it. In the game, Dixie and Kiddy Kong must match ten cards throughout a time limit. If they win, they gain Extra Life Balloons and Banana (Bunches). For two Bear Coins, he gives the monkeys hints throughout the game. The primates can also give him five Bear Coins to teleport them to the overworld map without having to fight a boss.

  • Bear is the only Brothers Bear to not appear in the game Donkey Kong Country 3.
  • Bear can also considered the replacement for Funky Kong from the game Donkey Kong Land 2 as they both allow the heroes to access the overworld maps of Crocodile Isle and Northern Kremisphere, respectively, without defeating a boss in the current world.
  • Even if only one Kong visits Bear, he still says "If it isn't my big bad Kong pals!" with pals being a plural.
  • In the Game Boy version of the game Donkey Kong Land III, Bear has his sprite animated. In the Game Boy Color version of the same game, his sprite is immobile and does not animate.
