"Bazza's Blockade isn't a tough level if you learn to watch the wild ways of the creatures swimming around you. The key to winning here is to go with the flow of the fish." --Nintendo Player's Guide, page 42/43

Bazza's Blockade, (バッザーの湖 Bazzā no mizuumi in Japan), is the first stage in Cotton Top Cove from Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!. It is preceded by Arich's Ambush and followed by Rocket Barrel Ride.

Overview

Bazza's Blockade takes place in a tube-like maze of corals. The Kongs have to navigate through, while also avoiding the Bazzas trying to block their path. It prominently features Bazzas as the main enemy of the level, hence the name Bazza's Blockade.

Collectibles and Secrets

Animal Buddies

Enguarde the Swordfish:

Enguarde's Animal Barrel can be found shortly after the second Bonus Barrel. After reaching the highest point of the level, a small thin tunnel which the Kongs have to swim through before a Bazza hits them, the Kongs have to let themselves sink until the barrel is in sight.

Items

  • There are 4 hidden Bear Coins scattered throughout the level.

Special Barrels

Bonus Areas

  • The first Bonus Barrel is found shortly after the start of the level, hidden below a fast school of Bazzas. If the Kongs maneuver through the blockade quick enough, they can access a Bonus Barrel that was out of sight before.
  • The second barrel is located to the left of the narrow tunnel which the Kongs have to navigate through, at the highest point of the stage. The Kongs need to have Enguarde the Swordfish, found a bit later in the level, to pass the Bazzas and reach a small area with a Bonus Barrel.
