Bazooka's Barracks, or Brigadier Bazooka Bear, is the residence of former war veteran Bazooka, a member of the Brothers Bear from the game Donkey Kong Country 3. It is stationed in Mekanos, the fourth world of the Northern Kremisphere.

History[]

The residence of Bazooka can be accessed once the Kongs clear the Mekanos stage Fire-Ball Frenzy. There, the primates encounter Bazooka. He owns a cannon dubbed the "Big Bessie", which can be used to shoot them at the Banana Bird Cave, Sky-High Cave, once the heroes have given the Bowling Ball (from Blizzard's Present to Blue) to Bazooka.

Super Nintendo Entertainment System version[]

In the Super Nintendo Entertainment System version of Donkey Kong Country 3, Bazooka's Barracks is a small hut built out of logs, in which the Kongs can spot many references to Bazooka's former career as a brigadier in the military. On the wall left of Bazooka, there is a small 4x4 window. To the left of the window is a map which was originally used for planning Big Bessie's aim, to the right of the window there are a couple of medals which Bazooka has achieved, all framed in a large yellow frame. Beneath the window and the medals is a set of wooden barrels, which could be used to store food reserves. In the foreground, another pair of barrels and a small cardboard box are visible. Lastly, there is a small brown doormat in front of the door.

Game Boy Advance version[]

In the Game Boy Advance version of Donkey Kong Country 3, the location is now called Brigadier Bazooka Bear. It resembles an artillery bunker from outside, sporting a cannon at the top. Inside of it, the structure seems made out of concrete or gray metal, and it is compact with a low ceiling. In the background, there is a thin, horizontal opening probably serving as a watch point. Bazooka is sitting behind a small barrier made out of stacked sandbags. Some ammunition and missile shells, more sandbags and wooden crates can also be seen around the interior of the bunker.
